Home Learning

22-March-20

Over the next few weeks and months myself and Miss Magee will share suggested work for you to complete on our Primary Six class pages. As we have said many times before Primary six is a very important year for each of you. It is crucial that you use this time at home wisely to revise and build upon all your hard work this year.

We have already provided each you with a pack of work for the next few weeks. Further online numeracy, literacy and topic work will be posted on-line on our class pages after Easter. When we commence this on-line learning we would ask that you post back on-line through Seesaw your completed work, if possible. We will provide suggested activities but please do not feel under pressure to complete everything, what we will provide will be an outline. We understand that this is a very worrying time for everyone, yourselves, your families and our whole school community. It is a time for families to spend together and we do appreciate this. It is an opportunity to build up a love of reading and also to recap on times tables as a quicker recall will benefit all areas of your numeracy work.

On Friday we provided you with seven transfer tests for those children who are hoping to sit the transfer exam in November 2020. To begin we would suggest that you complete one test per week. There is a lot of repetition in these tests so going through your corrections is vital. Further tests will be posted on-line in due course. (Please make sure you record your answers on the correct recording sheet. There are three different recording sheets, one for Maths, one for English and a further one for Maths and English.)

We look forward to seeing all the good quality work you will produce. Please keep looking at our school website and Google Classroom where we will post any further updates.

Please keep yourselves safe and your families. We hope to see you all again soon.
