NSPCC Number Day 2021

NSPCC Number Day 2021

Maintaining social distancing and staying within their 'bubbles', the two Primary 3 classes went to the big yard on Friday morning for a special photograph. It was to mark NSPCC Day 2021. The number formed by the children lying on the ground is the NSPCC Helpline number for children and young adults so that they can talk to someone in confidence if they need to.

The number is 0800 1111.

It was a non uniform day and the girls and boys were allowed to wear their ordinary clothes for a voluntary contribution of £1 and all monies raised will go to to charity.

A special thank you to Mrs Maeve Mc Kay, Numeracy Coordinator, for organising the activites for each class throughout the school and Nursery Unit.

If any child is worried or anxious he / she can speak to the Designated teacher for Child Protection, Mrs Denise Mahon or the Deputy Designated teachers for Child Protection, Miss Catherine Conaghan in the Nursery Unit, Miss Hannah Magorrian in Foundation Stage and Mr Declan Murray for Key Stage 1.

There are posters and signs throughout each classroom, activity area, toilet block and communal areas detailing this as well as a 'Worry Box' in the Red Zone which anyone can drop a private note into.
