Christmas Bubble Fun Run Part 1

Christmas Bubble Fun Run Part 1

Our inaugural Christmas Bubble Fun Run took place on Friday 11th December. It is hoped to make it an annual event, where parents can get involved. Despite current coronavirus restrictions, Mr Brownlee and Mr Prenter did their homework and set up a long, flat course where all classes from Nursery through to Primary 7 could get involved. Each class ran in their 'bubble' where they had to complete a certain number of laps within the allocated time. For some it was easy, whilst for others it was more demanding. However, a lovely commemorative medal and some juice and shortbread once everyone had passed the finishing line seemed to reinvigorate even the tiredest of runners !

Special mention must go to all the children in Mr Brownlee's Primary 6 class who were magnificent throughout the day. They were mentioned by all the teachers and classroom assistants for their behaviour and attitude. They all had specific jobs to do, such as timekeepers, marshals, photographers, etc. They encouraged everyone that needed a kind word and went above and beyond by literally holding hands with some of the younger competitors to guide them across the finishing line. Words do not do their actions justice. They were a credit to their parents, class and school !
